Thousand Island Cruise - Route A-1

PLEASE READ - THIS IS IMPORTANT!

If you haven't already paid for your cruise you will need to check in the store to see if any slots are available and only book a spot on Sign-up Genius if you are paid up. Sorry but slots are limited and if both days are sold out, you can no longer sign up. The good news, in that case, is that there are plenty of other exciting runs.

Our 1000 Island cruses will run on Tuesday and Thursday and each day there will be 4 runs of 10 cars (to keep the run size manageable). These runs  converge all at once at the boat dock. That's 40 cars and a little under 80 people meeting to take the cruise and have lunch (all included in the cost). Each day there will be two routes. On route A  (this one) 10 cars (A-1) will leave going clockwise around the route and 10 cars (A-2) will leave going counterclockwise.

Route A is the longer and a more spirited than Route B (see below).

For Route A-1 you will leave the hotel at 8:35 a.m. and make your way north through twisty roads  to arrive at the docks by 10:30. The cruise leaves just before 11:00 and is back a little after 12 for a lovely buffet lunch (included) overlooking the harbor. After lunch your group will continue with a gently rolling drive through farmland and rolling hills back to the hotel by about 3:00 p.m.

Thousand Island Cruise - Route A-2

For Route A-2 you will leave the hotel at 9:45 a.m. and make your way east through rolling countryside to arrive at the docks by 10:30. The cruise leaves just before 11:00 and is back a little after 12 for a lovely buffet lunch (included) overlooking the harbor. After lunch your group will continue with a spirited drive on exciting twisty roads and back to the hotel by about 3:30.

Thousand Island Cruise - Route B-1

Route B is the shorter and more relaxed so choose this if you are squeamish about tight turns.

For route B-1 you leave the hotel at 9:10 and make your way north-east on some twisty, scenic roads arriving at the docks by 10:30. The cruise leaves just before 11:00 and is back a little after 12 for a lovely buffet lunch (included) overlooking the harbor. After lunch your group will continue with a scenic drive on the 1000 Island Parkway and back to the hotel by about 2:30.

After lunch your group will continue with a more spirited drive through rolling twisties and back to the hotel by about 3:00.

Big changes to both track runs!!

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Track Day at Shannonville has now been changed to Track Evening. We don't have enough signups to be able to do a full day so we will offer a 4 hour track session on Tuesday evening from 5 to 9. This will be much more affordable and less taxing (4 hours vs 8 hours) so we hope to get many more to sign up. Please read the description below to assure yourself that you will be in a group appropriate to your skill level. The track cost is a flat rate of $5000 so the more who sign up, the less the cost will be. 20 cars makes it $250 each plus helmet rental ($20). You will have to forgo the Ice Cream Social (Probably a good thing for me. LOL) but maybe we can convince Cathy and the bunch to keep some for us. SEE THE DESCRIPTION BELOW

For the Calabogie Parade run we now have scheduling conflicts at the track so there will be 2 days only (Wednesday and Thursday) but we will book double runs for each day (20 cars each day) which lets 10 more cars participate. We will cancel off anyone who has booked for Monday or Friday so you will have to sign up for one of the other two days. Instructions on how to change your signup are in in the "featured" section of our FB page. Cost will be a $10 or more donation to our charity, Dawn House.

Shannonville Track Evening

IMPORTANT CHANGES!! Please Read

This is NOT an Evening where you will race and beat your car up. We have reduced the time to 4 hours and changed it to Tuesday evening. This is much more manageable both physically and financially if we can get enough participants.

The cars will be split into 2 groups, 1/ novice 2/ intermediate/advanced. You will have up to eight 15 minute sessions on the track.  You don't have to do them all. We will have the big track to ourselves and it is an amazing opportunity to receive some instruction on how to get the most fun out of your car and then take it out on a professional track and push it as hard as you are comfortable with. No racing, no damage involved.

Please be sure to take advantage of this opportunity if you are interested in learning more than you thought possible about you and your car. The more we get the more reasonable it will be.

We need 20 cars to make this affordable and we now have 12 from the cancelled Wednesday track day so hopefully they will sign up for Tuesday night.  We are really excited about this so please get your name on the Signup Genius page so we can make this work.

You will leave the hotel at 4:00 p.m. (which give you time for an earlier run or to explore Kingston) and a short half-hour drive on the 401 highway gets you to the track for 5. You'll get your helmet and a briefing as wall as some instruction before you get to try your hand on a road course and then you have it all to your own. The evening is yours to go on and off the track as you are comfortable. You will leave by 9:00 p.m. and return back on the 401 highway.

Calabogie Raceway Parade Run

IMPORTANT CHANGES! Please read

This is all about the trip there and back and a fun parade run around the beautiful Calabogie track...Not a race, a guided circuit to get the feel of the track.

These runs are now moved to Wednesday and Thursday.

This run takes in some of the twistiest and most fun roads you will find anywhere. Because of this it is a challenging red run not for the timid driver.

Your day begins by leaving the hotel at 8:50 a.m. and you make you way north. The farther you go the twistier they get! You will arrive at Calabogie Motorsports park just before noon and when the current ongoing event breaks for lunch you will drive the track behind a pace vehicle. The track graciously won't charge for this but asks that you make a donation to a charity of their choosing. Next is hearty and delicious lunch at the Redneck Bistro followed by an equally exhilarating drive back to the hotel arriving before 5:00 p.m.

Back in Time

Did you know that your KAPPA is a time machine? Yup, back to the past at Ameliasburg Heritage Village. This lovely trip to the past is a relaxing alternative to the red runs.

You leave the hotel at 9:10 a.m. with a short 1+ hour drive to the Heritage Village (free admission but a donation is appreciated). You'll explore the past for and hour or so and then a short 15 minute drive takes you to the Pounders Waterfront Pub and Patio for a delicious pub style lunch while enjoying the view.  After lunch takes you through the enchanting Prince Edward County countryside to the Glenora Ferry. A 20 minute sail (free) and then a ride along the Lake Ontario waterfront gets you back to the hotel before 3:30 p.m.

Easy Lunch

Just one more. Have you had a long drive to NASSAM or a long run and want a relaxed lunch the next day? This is the one for you. You will leave the hotel at a civilized 10:30 a.m. and a little over an hour drive on some fun twisty roads gets you to the The Crossing Pub for a relaxed lunch. A comfortable drive takes you back to the hotel for 2:30...in time for a snooze or to explore Kingston.

Wandering Winos

Ah, what a day! Not much beats a scenic drive around the coast of Prince Edward County and a stop at Wapoose Estates Winery and Restaurant (the best portobello burger I've ever had...hope they still have it!)

You leave the hotel at a respectable 9:45 (this is all very proper btw, LOL) and make your way to the Glenora Ferry (free). A 20 minute crossing takes you to Prince Edward County, an enchanting large island where you will wind your way to the winery (pun intended) for a fabulous, relaxed lunch overlooking Lake Ontario. From there you will continue your scenic wandering ways for a couple of hours back to the hotel 4:00 p.m.

Short, Fast and Delicious

This will be the last run added and it's to fill in for folks who want thrills and a top quality lunch. It's a fast paced, short (2+ hr driving) run on twisty, scenic roads with a stop at Chaffey's locks and lunch at the historic Opinicon restaurant.

You will leave the hotel at 10:30 a.m. and wind your way for an hour with a lunch stop at the Opinicon for an amazing array of lunch choices including wood fired pizza. This one is a little higher end but worth every penny. You will continue around the exciting loop and make your way back to the hotel for 3:00 p.m.

You are signing up for your car NOT the number of people.

Please don't double book.
