NASSAM 2026 Daily Car Runs

PLEASE READ!!

The descriptions on the 2 car run pages are for you to look over and begin to make your decisions.  A Signup Genius link will be posted here and on our Face Book page on Friday or Saturday. Some runs are  one day only and spaces will be limited so book your runs early. Although we don't expect many, all runs are subject to change depending on road conditions at the time and on availability of facilities.

We have purposely planned all the runs to give you an amazing variety of driving experiences and a tour of world cuisine.

This year each run title will be coded GREEN, YELLOW, or RED

- GREEN is for leisurely drivers and stays to the speed limit or below on challenging roads.

- YELLOW is for those who want a little more thrilling ride.

- RED is for the thrill seeker. Not to get speeding tickets - safe excitement. You will get left behind if you are a GREEN driver so please don't sign up on these.

Island Farm Experience

Well ya can't miss this one. One of our members, Christina Pyke (and family), have invited us to their amazing farm on Wolfe Island.

Your group will leave from the hotel on Wednesday at 8:20 and a 60 minute drive takes you to the 9:40 a.m. ferry from Kingston to Wolfe Island (free). The new 80 car Wolfe Islander electric Ferry 4 is an interesting highlight. A 20 minute sail takes you to the island where you get a fun tour of their large farm and the "Big Barn" full of antique machinery.

Next is a delicious relaxed lunch at Christina and Jason's home overlooking the mouth of the St Lawrence River across to New York State. Lunch will be catered so a $20 per persond donation to cover expenses would be appreciated.

After lunch you are free to make your own way back across on the ferry and take in one of many  attractions in and around Kingston.

Uplifting Canoes!

A driver's and boater's piece of heaven! You will leave the hotel at 9:00 a.m. and experience an exhilarating 2 1/2 hour drive through rolling countryside ending up at the Peterborough Liftlocks and the Canadian Canoe Museum. Weather permitting we will pick up pizza at Pappa's Pizzaland nearby and have a picnic in the beautiful Liftlock Park (bring a blanket), otherwise we'll eat at Marty Moo's Chicken and Ribs.

Next is a guided tour of the Worlds largest and most beautiful Canoe Museum (adults 20 bucks, seniors 18) followed by and equally beautiful drive back to Kingston arriving at the hotel  around 4:30.

Let's Get Spirited 1

This one is all about the driving! Experience excitement on wonderful twisty roads through hilly, forested countryside and past pristine lakes. This one is for the driving enthusiasts; no speeding tickets but lots of pushing through tight twisties.

You will leave the hotel at 9:15 a.m. with a stop for lunch at Dalhousie Lake Restaurant... great food, a fabulous view of the lake and a parking area perfect for photo ops.

An equally exhilarating drive takes you back to the hotel by  4:00 ish.

Let's Get Spirited 2

This one is also all about the driving with a stop at an incredible winery for lunch. Experience excitement on wonderful twisty roads through hilly, forested countryside and past pristine lakes. This one, too, is for the driving enthusiasts; no speeding tickets but lots of pushing through tight twisties.

You will leave the hotel at 8:45 a.m. with a lunch stop before noon at the fabulous River House winery for lunch. It's an amazing facility (see the pictures) and the food is equally spectacular.

Another exhilarating drive takes you to the Lavalee's Cookery for a great coffee and some fattening stuff on their outdoor patio (weather permitting) and then a short drive back to the hotel for about 4:00.

Wine-ing Allowed

No stewing about the brewery and only wine-ing in the winery!

Prince Edward County is a gem not to be missed. It is a large peaceful island with a plethora of wineries, shops, beaches, galleries, quaint towns and villages.

You will leave the the hotel at 9:30 a.m. and drive along the beautiful Lake Ontario shore to the Glenora ferry (free). A short passage takes you to Prince Edward County and then on a scenic drive to the Wapoose Winery Estate for a fun stop. Half and hour there and then your drive continues to Slake Brewing for a delicious TexMex lunch. After lunch you can follow the group back to the hotel or spend the afternoon exploring.

Gently Primitive

Sometimes it's the drive. Sometimes its the destination. Sometimes it's both. Gently primitive is a beautiful drive through rolling forest and farms punctuated by a funky experience at a one-of-a-kind store.

You will leave the hotel at 8:45 a.m. and wind west through the countryside arriving at Primitive Designs at about 10:30. Spend an hour being intrigued in the multi-story, multi-building experience and maybe snag that piece of clothing that you would, otherwise, have to travel the world for. Be sure to get a group photo or an individual photo in front of one of the hilarious 30 foot metal sculptures,

From there it's into Port Hope to Cafe Lviv to experience some amazing Ukrainian cuisine before heading back to Kingston by 3:30.

White Water Fun

Now here's a unique experience!  There will be one run only so book your spot as soon as signup is available.

An early 7:30 start from the hotel and and exhilarating drive gets you to the Madawaska Canoe Camp before 10:30. You'll get geared up and on the raft by 11:00. There will be 2 rafts, one will be a 12 person raft for a tamer family ride ($65) and one will be a 7 person adventure raft ($80) that picks rougher water with paddles for each. A short drive to Barry's Bay take you to a delicious Euro style lunch at Le Belge Neige Bistro and then back to the hotel for 4:45.

When the Signup Genius page is up you will need to book your spot and go to the store to pay.

1000 Island Parkway

This is NOT the cruse. This is a shorter run with about 2 hours of driving time. Sleep in a bit for with an 11:00 a.m. start and a leisurely drive that takes you to the end of the beautiful 1000 Island Parkway and then some twisties to the town of Athens where you will have an amazing Greek... nope... Chinese lunch. Trust us we did a test run here last fall and the food was great. More twisties take you back to the hotel by 3
